Routine Ear cleaning

Regular, routine ear cleaning can help to keep your pets ears clean, healthy and comfortable, and identify any issues before it gets worse.

During the appointment I will gently clean out any dirt, wax and debris using a calm and careful approach. I will also look for any signs that somethings not right including looking for irritation, redness, discharge and bad smells.

Changes in your pets ears may indicate an underlying problem such as an ear infection, allergies, parasites, or inflammation. Detecting this early can be beneficial as left untreated, problems may get worse and require more extensive and expensive veterinary treatment.

As a Vet Nurse I understand the importance of recognising where routine cleaning is appropriate and when your pet may need to see a Veterinary Surgeon. If i notice anything concerning I will discuss this with you and advise that you seek veterinary attention.
